Two Drop Consignment (“TDC,” “we,” “us”) is a small Magic: The Gathering consignment shop based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what’s needed to sell you cards and ship them to you, and nothing else. No ad trackers, no selling your data, no nonsense.
- WHAT WE COLLECT
When you place an order, we collect:
- Your name, email address, shipping address, and phone number (if provided) — so we can fulfill and ship your order and contact you about it.
- Your order details — the cards you bought, prices paid, shipping method chosen, and any card list you entered in the Bulk Bin field at checkout.
When you browse the site, our hosting provider and WooCommerce may log standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type. We use this only for site security and troubleshooting.
If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can help you and reference past conversations.
- PAYMENT INFORMATION
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your credit card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers. We cannot see or store it. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits of your card for order-matching purposes. Stripe’s privacy policy is available at https://stripe.com/en-ca/privacy.
- COOKIES
This site uses only functional cookies: the ones WooCommerce needs to remember what’s in your cart and to keep your checkout session working. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics trackers, or social media pixels. That’s why there’s no cookie banner.
- WHO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH
We share your information only with the services required to complete your order:
- Stripe, to process your payment.
- Canada Post, which receives your name and shipping address on the mailing label.
- Our website host, on whose servers the site and its order database run.
Consignors – the people whose cards we sell – never see your personal information. Their sales reports show what sold, not who bought it. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, ever.
- HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
Order records (including your name, address, and purchase details) are retained for seven years, because Canadian tax law requires us to keep business and sales records for that period. Email correspondence is kept as long as it remains useful for supporting you. Technical logs are kept only briefly by our host.
- YOUR RIGHTS
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask us at any time:
- What personal information we hold about you;
- To correct information that’s inaccurate; or
- To delete your information, which we will do except for order records we’re legally required to retain (see Section 5).
Email chris@twodropconsignment.com with any of these requests and we’ll respond promptly. If you’re unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
- SECURITY
The site runs over HTTPS, payments are handled end-to-end by Stripe, and access to the order system is limited to the owner. No system is perfectly secure, but we deliberately collect little, which is the best protection there is.
- CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If our practices change, for example, if we ever add analytics or an email newsletter, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
